How can someone who has lived in the United States for a number of years still can’t have a work conversation and needs an interpreter to make it through a shift. Or if no interpreter is available does not converse on work related topix with English speaking coworkers but will converse in Spanish with Spanish coworkers. If you are going to work in the US then learn the language and don’t pretend you don’t know what someone is saying when convenient!!! When i was in Ohio he suggested i should try a black woman;) i got drunk and did what he suggested! It was gross;) it was like speaking Spanish in the working;) Oops but anyway good English is essential? is the least of your worries. When they have a comfortable majority, they’ll be shipping you across the borders. Go look at what they are doing in California. Non-Spanish speakers are leaving in droves.
